Roofing maintenance
in Cork.
Regular upkeep is the cheapest way to make a roof last. We look after the small things so they never turn into the big ones.
The importance of regular roof maintenance
To stretch the life of a roof in Cork's wet, maritime climate, regular maintenance counts. Moss holds water against the tiles, leaves block valleys and gutters, and a small crack at a flashing lets in water that nobody sees until the ceiling shows it.
Our maintenance visits are a routine look at the whole roof, with the small faults put right while we are there: slipped slates and tiles, loose ridge tiles, moss and debris cleared, gutters and outlets unblocked and any flashing that has started to lift. It costs a fraction of what a leak does.
We also write down what we see, so if something needs a bigger job, you hear it from us with photographs and a price, with no pressure.

Quoted separately
What this usually costs.
A maintenance visit is priced after a survey, because it depends on the roof. Small repairs found during a visit are quoted before we do them. For reference, a roof leak repair is €400–€2,500 as a 2026 guide.
From first visit to hand-back.
Survey
We look at the roof and agree what a visit should cover.
Maintain
Clear, fix and photograph.
Report
A written note of what was done and what to watch.
Repeat
Come back in the right season, usually spring and autumn.
Questions, answered.
How often should a roof be maintained?
Twice a year, spring and autumn, suits most roofs. A roof with a lot of overhanging trees may need more.
Is moss really a problem?
Yes. It holds water against the tiles and can lift their edges, and it blocks gutters and valleys.
Does maintenance prevent leaks?
It cannot promise there will never be one, but it finds most faults before they leak.
Can you clear my gutters?
Yes. Clearing gutters, outlets and downpipes is part of our maintenance work.
How much does it cost?
A maintenance visit is priced after a survey. Small repairs are quoted before we do them.
Do you maintain flat roofs?
Yes. Clearing outlets and checking upstands and seams is one of the best ways to extend a flat roof's life.
